Synopsis
The Science Alliance was an educational television show which was produced and broadcast by TVOntario in 1981-82. The hosts were Rex Hagon and Judy Haladay. The typical episode would feature the hosts demonstrating various aspect of the subject of the episode. In addition, a largely unseen narrator named Bryant would interrupt at pertinent points with a vignette called "Bryant's Giants of Science" which would tell the story of a figure in the history of science and their contribution to scientific knowledge.

Season 11E1Magnets""Magnets"" is Bryant's first word, leading to a legend on the discovery of magnetism. The Science Alliance finds four magnetic materials: iron, steel, nickel, and cobalt. Rex demonstrates the electromagnet and shows how to test what materials let magnetism pass through.15m2E2Electricity15m3E3MatterWhat does Rex have in common with grape juice and the air in a tire? They represent three states of matter. Rex, along with grape juice and tires, get involved in two of the demonstrations in this program. Bryant's Giants of Science salutes Archimedes for his way to easily determine the volume of objects.15m4E4EnergyWe can't see energy, but we can observe what energy does.
